Jenny White

Luxury lingerie materials produced in the most eco-friendly wayLingerie is like our second skin. The first thing we put on before getting dressed. I truly believe that it's important to know what goes into the clothes we wear against our skin. Our bodies are more sensitive than we realise.

Eco-Boudoir's passion is to make first class lingerie with the most sustainable production values. That’s why all our silks are cultivated without using harmful chemicals and all our cotton is certified organic.
Our collections are sewn in the UK and when working abroad we support small communities of women.

My philosophy began when studying (MA) Printed Textiles at Central Saint Martin's where I explored sustainability and the new meaning of luxury. It became apparent that many people wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle whilst saving natural resources. So, I combined my love for high end design with a passion for sustainability to create truly luxurious garments.

That's how Eco-Boudoir was born.

Pants Exposed

We campaign about sustainability within the fashion and textile industry. In January 2009 we launched our first film ‘PANTS EXPOSED: KNOW WHAT’S IN YOUR KNICKERS’
which can be seen on our sister site:

92,000 hits on youtube so far is pretty good!

Our morethanprettyknickers site also tells you more about the problems with many conventional textiles processes.

Our silk is cultivated in India and China and is certified organic by the IMO.
The process uses naturally occurring substances such as organic compost, sawdust and manure roots. The leaves and berries used are all from organic mulberry plants. We remove the protein bi-product(sericin) with a traditional nut soap. No pesticides, fertilisers, bleaching or harmful finishing processes are involved.

Our silk is printed both in England and also by our organic silk supplier
in China.

Organic Cotton is grown and produced with minimal harm to the environment, farmers and producers. Organic production uses systems that replenish soil fertility, reducing the use of toxic/persistent chemicals and pesticides. As cotton uses up approx 25% of the world’s pesticides and fertilisers causing approximately 20,000 deaths per year in developing countries, it is imperative that we switch to organic.

We use bamboo and Lenzine Modal fabrics for our jersey items. Recently sourced an amazing recycled polyester for SS11. We work with vegetable tanned leather for our make up bags and accessories.

Each season is inspired by a different aspect of nature. For AW09 it’s the British Woodland. For SS10 it's the Amazon rainforest.
